Mr. Kamrul Hasan is an officer of the 4th batch of the Bangladesh Judicial Service with the rank of Additional District and Sessions Judge. His home district is Bogura. He passed his S.S.C. (Secondary School Certificate) from the traditional Dhanmondi Govt. Boys High School in Dhaka and his H.S.C. (Higher Secondary Certificate) from Dhaka City College. Subsequently, he obtained his LL.B. (Honours) and LL.M. degrees from Rajshahi University. Before joining the Judicial Service, he served as an enrolled lawyer in the District and Sessions Judge Court, Dhaka, and the High Court Division of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh. He joined the judicial service on January 17, 2010, and served as a Judicial Magistrate in the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court, Joypurhat, until November 2012. He then worked as a Senior Assistant Judge in the Civil Jurisdiction at the District and Sessions Judge Court, Dhaka, from November 2012 to April 2016. Following this, he served as a Senior Judicial Magistrate in the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court, Rangpur, from April 2016 to October 2018. He served on deputation as the District Legal Aid Officer in Panchagar District from October 2018 to November 2018. He again served as a Senior Judicial Magistrate in the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court, Panchagar, from November 2018 to November 2020. Subsequently, he was promoted to Joint District and Sessions Judge, serving in the District and Sessions Judge Court, Joypurhat, from November 2020 to January 2024, and in the same capacity in the District and Sessions Judge Court, Tangail, from January 2024 to November 2025. During his service, he successfully completed 10 training programs both at home and abroad. By way of his latest promotion and transfer, he joined the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court, Cumilla, as the Chief Judicial Magistrate on December 1, 2025, and is currently working there.
